Holding The Rope

During the final week of our sermon series, Holy Spirit, Pastor Kim Norris discusses the importance of standing in the gap for others in prayer. It can be discouraging to pray for lost family members, deliverance, and miracles, especially when we don't see evidence that God is moving. Pastor Kim reminds us that Jesus is the beginning of miracles and that the Gospel has the power to change lives. This message is a reminder that no matter what your circumstances, you may be the only one standing in the gap for someone else in prayer.

Take a look at the story of City Church and how God has grown our church through generations of generosity. From investing in the next generation and reaching people around the world through our online campus, to serving our local community, providing recovery services, building campuses, spreading the Gospel globally, helping save 15 families from slavery, and providing 60 clean water wells, God has done incredible things through City. Can The Rich Enter Heaven?

What are you holding onto that God may be asking you to release? This week, we continued our Legacy series by looking at the story of the rich man who came to Jesus and was challenged to let go of his possessions and follow Him.

God is bigger than anything we can own or accomplish in our time on earth. A life that leaves a lasting legacy begins with humility, letting go of the baggage we carry, and making ourselves available for God to use.

Our lives matter. What we do with them matters. And the legacy we leave begins with choosing to follow Jesus.
