INTERNSHIP
The City Internship is a program for High School and College students who are looking to gain more knowledge in ministry. The opportunities provided in the internship are intended to help students connect, gain experience, find their calling and grow in their relationship with God and their church community.
The City Internship program is available for Middle School students during the summer semester only. High School and College students can intern during three possible semesters, including the spring, summer, and fall. High School and College students have the opportunity to earn school credit through the internship program. Click the link below to apply!

CITY KIDS
As the City Kids Intern you should have a passion for ministry and a passion for kids! This internship is a hands on application of ministry skills, leadership skills and an application of experience working with children ages Nursery-6th grade. This person should be highly creative and not afraid of hard work.
MVMT (YOUTH GROUP)
As the Movement Youth Group intern you should be interested in learning the ins and outs of how to run a weekly youth service. The Movement intern will have the opportunity to learn how to run a youth service, how to mix sound and use propresenter, develop new and fun new icebreakers for the students, share decor ideas, and help develop hospitality skills.
MARKETING
As the marketing intern you are responsible for assisting the marketing manager and social media manager in tasks that are essential to the function and success of their jobs. Some of these tasks include, creation of marketing materials, merchandising, creation of social media posts, communicating with our graphic designer, assisting with interior design projects and more.
HEALING HANDS OUTREACH
As the Healing Hands Outreach Intern you will assist in various ways at our Outreach Center. Healing Hands mission is to help the Bloomington community who are in need of material and essential goods such as clothing, furniture, food and so much more.
PRAISE TEAM
The Praise Team is looking for interns who love to worship and want to learn about the variety of roles and responsibilities that go into making a great atmosphere for our church on Sundays and at other services throughout the week. The Praise Team Intern will learn about auditions, creating services and setlists, team development, youth and kids worship, production, stage management and many other components.
MEDIA TEAM
Be a part of evaluating, strategizing, and implementing approved changes and/or upgrades to Spirit-filled worship experiences. For this concentration you must have previous experience using non-linear video editing software and basic lighting and sound knowledge.
SOUND
The Sound Team intern has a previous and growing knowledge base and concentration in audio production who want to gain experience with live performance events, audio network configuration, band and stage setup, recording setup and support, etc. The Sound Team works effectively and seamlessly across the Media and Praise Teams to deliver an excellent live worship experience to our in-house congregation and Online Campus.
GROWTH TRACK
Our growth track provides opportunities for people to serve, connect and lead at City Church. Working to create a communication plan to help us share the importance of attending Next Steps and LEAD will be a big part of your role. This is so that people can serve, grow and pursue purpose! Along with creating a communication plan, you’ll help us organize materials, input data into our system, and find ways to streamline our efforts.
MINISTRY TRACK
As a ministry intern you will gain a well rounded view of ministry on the weekend and the weekday. We will include person specific projects where budgets, decision making rights, timelines and delegation will be incorporated, as well as, day to day operational tasks, meeting prep, support team roles, communication, statistics/analysis/reports and errand runs. The skills and experience gained in this internship can and will translate to many areas of life.
