Juneteenth

Event Date: June 23rd

June 19, 1865, marks the day when federal troops arrived in Texas to ensure the freedom of all enslaved people. In June 2021, Congress passed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act. Because of Jesus, we understand the profound significance of His sacrifice, which brings freedom and release from bondage. We celebrate justice for the oppressed, recognizing that our God is a God of justice, freedom, and liberation. At City Church, we are dedicated to breaking down barriers of oppression through truth and action, and proclaiming the hope found in Jesus. Ephesians 2:11-22
