Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

It’s 2025, and this holiday gives us a fresh start—a chance to make adjustments, dream big, and move forward.

Starting over is a powerful opportunity to do better and be better. When we embrace it, amazing things can happen. But let’s be real—New Year’s can bring mixed emotions.

Personally, I’ve felt the weight of unmet expectations or disappointments from the past year. But I’ve also experienced the joy of victories and the hope of what’s ahead. These highs and lows are something we all face, aren’t they?

Maybe you’re feeling them right now.

Here’s the good news: our journey with God only gets better.

“The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.”
— Proverbs 4:18

If God promises our path gets brighter, how do we move forward?

This is key because how we reflect on last year and adjust for this year will shape our future. Small, consistent improvements can lead to big breakthroughs. The right steps may not always feel huge, but they create momentum in the right direction.

Here are three ways to move forward in 2025:

1. Be Honest

Honesty is the foundation of growth. It helps us make meaningful adjustments and face reality. The easiest person to lie to is ourselves, but self-deception leads to defeat.

When we’re honest about who we are, where we are, and what’s happened, we open the door for improvement.

Ask yourself:

  • What can I improve on?
  • What can I build on?
  • What needs to change?

Honesty allows us to stop harmful habits and start new, better ones. We all have areas to grow in—welcome to the family of imperfect people!

So, be honest with yourself and begin building a better 2025.

2. Be Thankful

Gratitude shifts our perspective. It’s easy to focus on what didn’t happen or what went wrong, but that mindset can limit us. Instead, remember and celebrate what went right.

Throughout Scripture, God reminds His people to share stories of His miracles with the next generation. Why? To build faith and encourage gratitude.

What did God do for you last year?

Take time to write it down and thank Him daily. Remember, if He did it before, He can do it again. Gratitude fuels hope and reminds us that God is still working in our lives.

Take time to reflect, give thanks, and praise Him for what’s ahead.

3. Set Clear Goals

Goals give us direction and purpose. They should stretch both our faith and our abilities, creating a partnership between our efforts and God’s power.

What are your goals for 2025?

Write them down, pray over them daily, and create practical steps to achieve them. This isn’t about fantasy—it’s about attainable, meaningful goals that require both faith and action.

When our goals are bigger than us, we need God to step in—and that’s where miracles happen.

In 2025, I encourage you to:

  • Believe big.
  • Pray big.
  • Dream big.
  • Love big.
  • Give big.

This is where we need God, and when we rely on Him, anything is possible.

“With God, nothing is impossible.”
— Luke 1:37

I’m believing that this year you’ll be closer to Jesus than ever before, thriving in your faith and seeing Him move powerfully in your life.

May God bless you in 2025 like never before.

Happy New Year!
