25 ways to stay a winner
I love playing games with my family. For our family, this includes the games Sorry, Phase Ten, and Uno. There have been some intense moments during these games, and there have been some moments we all laughed out loud and had a great time. These moments are priceless and needed in our families and friendships.
It’s competitive and fun-loving.
Have you noticed that everyone wants to win? It’s a part of who we are, and God made us this way. This is good because it gives us the drive for more and to reach for something beyond ourselves.
I believe it’s excellent for all of us to learn how to win and to learn how to lose. Handling both of these well is a part of life, and how we face them determines so much in our lives.
“24. Don’t you realize that in a race, everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 25. All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.”
1 Corinthians 9:24-25
Notice that in Jesus, we’re running for an eternal prize. This matters most; therefore, we must choose to be a winner.
Not necessarily on the scoreboard but within ourselves. When we win within us, we will win with those around us. But this takes intentionality because it’s not always our default.
So, here’s 25 ways to stay a winner!
