Coming straight from the heart
Life is thought about in the head. But life is felt and lived, from the heart!
There’s something about the heart that is profound and complex at the same time. It feels and processes while simultaneously being a computer that recalls memories from years gone by. Truly our lives are lived from the heart because it’s from this place, that we share our true feelings and emotions. This is vulnerable living and when we open our hearts, something happens.
This is exactly why we’re called to be aware of our hearts and furthermore, let Jesus change them.
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
Proverbs 4:23.
Notice in our verse, the course of our life comes from our hearts. The direction of our lives is linked to the condition of our hearts. Therefore, when God has our hearts, our lives can receive all that God wants us to have. At some point in our faith, we must let God in the deeper places of our lives and change us from the inside out.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.”
Psalms 51:10
We all know what it feels like to have our hearts wide open and we also know what it feels like, to have a hearts shut down. Any area of our heart that is shut down toward God, is a place he cannot get to, and if he can’t get to it he can’t heal it.
So, what area of your heart is being withheld from God?
This is the area he wants to heal. Is it money? Purity? Forgiveness? Serving?
Whatever it is, it’s coming straight from the heart.
Our head knowledge about God, will only go as far as our hearts are open to God.
Therefore, when God changes our hearts, the opportunities he gives us are monumental and life changing. We must remember this, the things God wants to do in our lives, is linked to what we do with our hearts.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20
So today, let the Holy Spirit move in your heart. Give God more of you because whatever the issue, it’s coming straight from the heart.
Open your heart to God, it’s worth it!
The best is yet to come,
