Resurrected

RESURRECTED

Have you ever been given a second chance?

For me, there have been distinct times when I knew, Grace was extended to me for a second chance. This happened my sophomore year of high school as my basketball coach helped change my life.

He taught government and I was in his class, when one day he called me to the front to speak with him. It was a five minute conversation that later would change the course of my life. He challenged me, if I wanted to play on the team, I had to change my friends, stop doing wrong and be a part of something bigger than myself. Because I loved basketball so much I jumped at the opportunity and said yes. From this moment forward, my life began to change one step at a time and it all happened because of a second chance.

There’s no doubt in my mind, you and I both have had multiple second chances in many different ways. These moments are an extension of kindness given to us, to do better than we did the first time. But out of all the second chances we’ve had, there’s none greater than what Jesus has given.

Think about it, all the wrong we’ve done and all of the times we said no to God, He still said yes to us. His grace has extended to us no matter what and, He has given new mercies every day for our lives. Nothing compares to that because, it’s the love of God that melts our hearts and changes the course of our future.

It’s this reality that brings me to my knees in thankfulness because I know where I would be today. I know what could of been but God, saved me and made something out of the mess I was in.

How about you?

This is why we love Him and this is why we give our lives because, without Him, we would be lost with no Hope.

This second chance in Jesus, speaks to the truth that we are Resurrected!

I love the line from the worship song Resurrecting that says, “The resurrected King, is resurrecting me.”

This speaks to the process of Jesus resurrecting us throughout our lives, helping us be healed, as we discover the potential He’s put in us.

What can Jesus resurrect in you?

Maybe it’s a lost dream, your marriage, family unity, healing of your past and the understanding of your purpose. No matter what it is, Jesus can resurrect it.

So as we enter the Easter season, it’s vital for us to remember, He’s resurrecting something in us right now!

Our part is to stand firm in our faith and to give Him a chance to work in our lives. This is articulated by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:58, as it says,

“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
‭‭
Notice He says to us, be strong and immovable. Only God can produce this in our lives because when we’re built on Him, we’re made more like Him.

Then He says, be enthusiastic for Jesus and whatever we do counts for more than we know.

What do you need resurrected in your life?

Jesus is able to do it so I encourage you, stand firm and be immovable for God. Let His strength fill you to stand and to keep walking. Let His grace comfort you to help you believe. Receive His mercy to give you strength when you feel weak. Our God is a present help in time of trouble, and He is able to resurrect something in our lives.

This Easter season, please remember, Jesus is alive! He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above what we ask or think. His intent is to resurrect the dead things of our lives, so we can give Him glory to what He has done. Be bold. Be strong. Move forward and give God everything you have.

He’s resurrecting something in you today!

The best is yet to come,
PD
