The Right Path to Take

Have you ever wondered, what path should I take in life? Or, where am I going and why am I here?

If you’re alive, the answer is yes! The desire for direction and clarity is ubiquitous with all of us because, we’re here for a purpose. Intuitively, we know this and that’s why we’re all seeking it. The challenge is, how do we know what path to take.

Over the years, I’ve seen people struggle as they navigate God’s path, their path and other’s path. The combination of multiple voices, only leads to confusion because when everybody is talking at the same time, It’s chaos.

Have you been there?

It’s funny to me how everyone is the expert, when it comes to what we should do with our lives, and they will share it freely.

Don’t get me wrong, the Bible speaks of us receiving wisdom from others and listening to leaders in our lives. In fact, if we don’t listen, we’ll end up in trouble. Proverbs is full of these insights and we need to remember them and practice them. I encourage you, have trusted people in your life that you trust and that share wisdom for you.

But, more than anything else, we must take the path the Lord is giving us. When we have the right people in our lives, they will encourage us biblically and it will confirm with what God is leading us to.

Which is why, we must have God as the leading voice in our lives and number one in our hearts. This is a daily decision we must make because from it, comes everything else.

Whose path are you on right now?

“Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose.”

Psalms 25:12

Notice, it all starts by fearing the Lord!

This is not a phobia fear but rather a reverence and worship to God. This is having conviction to do what He wants and to do life His way. This is not us being prefect, it’s us being changed day by day.

It’s my belief, many people are confused about the path for their life, because they’re not making God number one in their life. Everything starts from this point and when this happens, clarity comes!

In our verse, when we fear the Lord, He will show us the path we should choose. This is where we thrive, this is what we’re made for and this is the right path for us to take.

Here’s our struggle, deep down, we’re afraid that God’s path for us is not the best. We think, our dreams won’t happen and that, it will be boring. These lies and more, trick is to think that, our way is better and that our way is right. But, we’ve all lived long enough to know this is not true. Furthermore, we see all around us, that people without God are lost and empty and there’s nothing in this world that satisfies like Him.

This is why, the best thing we can do in life is make God number one in our hearts. Let Him be our Lord and then, when He shows the right path for us, we do it!

So, who is leading your life?

It’s my hope for you that it’s Jesus, because this is when we have all we need.

You see, His path has peace, provision, success, eternal life, grace, mercy, truth, power, purpose, healing, fulfillment and so much more. The sacrifices we’ll make along the way, pale in comparison to what He wants to give us and furthermore, it’s nothing compared to what He sacrificed on the cross for us.

So in 2022, it’s my hope we make Jesus number one in our lives and when He shows the right path to take, we do it.

Therefore, today take one step toward God. Fear Him and put Him as number one in your heart. Take the challenge to Love Him with all of you and then see what happens next.

To do this, here’s what God gives.

“Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.”

Lamentations‬ ‭3:23

‭‭Notice in Jesus, everyday we have mercy and His faithfulness to fear Him and to take His path for us. So go at this day by day. It’s not all at once, but rather a relationship that changes your life both now and for eternity.

Take the leap, and discover who you are in Christ and why you are here! This is what we want and this is what we need!
