accepted not rejected

Acceptance over Rejection

Have you ever been rejected?

Unfortunately for all of us, the answer is yes. This is because everyone is imperfect and from those flaws we’ve been rejected and most likely, we’ve rejected too. This cycle goes around and around everyday but the wake in its path is devastating.

This devastation can sometimes be obvious and other times, it’s hidden. But make no mistake, rejection does something to us that not only lingers, it impacts everything about us.

Rejection causes distrust, a closed heart, not willing to grow in new relationships, always looking for negative to happen and most of all, we reject God!

This is the most hurtful because the enemy uses the rejection against us, to produce rejection in us toward God. I know it sounds crazy, but this happens all the time.

Where we’re hurt, it’s easy for us to put it ON God like He’s the issue, verses us GIVING it to God for our healing. There’s a big difference between these two things and so many times, we as Christ followers can put it ON God and grow disconnected from Him.

To overcome this we must remember, God does not reject us!

Rejection is a tactic from the enemy, but God’s healing comes through acceptance.

It comes through grace and mercy. From these attributes, God gives healing, redemption, purpose and hope.

From this truth we must choose acceptance over rejection.

We choose His way over our way. We choose His truth over our truth. We choose His identity over our identity. This is how we win and this is how we choose acceptance over rejection.

The Bible says this,

“12. always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to His people, who live in the light. 13. For He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14. who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.”

Colossians 1:12-14

Notice that God has enabled us to share in the inheritance of His people. This is acceptance!

We’ve been adopted into His family. We’ve been made clean through Jesus and because of this, we’ve been rescued from the enemy’s tactics. This includes rejection!!

There’s no doubt that all of us have been rejected but, what do you choose today? Do you choose acceptance over rejection?

We can choose this because of the love of God.

In Jesus, we are accepted with no strings attached. Meaning, we don’t have to cover up our flaws or our mistakes, because He already knows them. We don’t have to perform because it’s not based on that. All we need to do is choose acceptance over rejection.

Only God can break the power of rejection off of our lives. Today I encourage you, choose His acceptance and move forward in His healing and purpose like never before.

Refuse to let anyone’s rejection stop you from doing what God has you to do. Furthermore, give God your pain and let Him heal you of it. He’s not the cause of the pain He’s the healer of the pain.

This is your moment to be healed of rejection and to live accepted!

Have a great week and may you have His grace to choose acceptance everyday.

Love you and the best is yet to come,

PD
