The Weight of Eternity
How much do you weigh?
I know, that’s a bold question and maybe it’s even wrong to ask it. But trust me, I’m going somewhere.
More important to ask, where will you spend eternity?
Everyone lives forever somewhere, but what we do with Jesus determines everything. The Bible is clear that our lives are but a vapor. Have you noticed how fast time is moving? I don’t know about you, but it feels like it’s moving faster by the day.
My kids are getting older, and when I look in the mirror, I see I’m getting older too. Man, it’s wild to see life progress forward and no matter what we do, life moves on.
But this speaks to the reality that, nothing in life is forever except, our faith.
What we do now does echo in eternity which means in Christ, everything we do, everything we give and everything we pray is doing more than we see.
Our challenge is to believe that because, what we see around us so often speaks the opposite of what we’re believing for. However, we must remember that God is using whatever we give Him, for the eternal purpose in our lives and in those around us. That’s right, what we do not only impacts us, but it reaches beyond us to those we know and don’t know.
I hope this encourages you because it gives life to our faith and meaning to what we’re doing right now.
Notice what this scripture says,
“The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
1 John 2:17
Notice, what we see around us will pass away but, those that do the will of God will live forever. I love this verse because it gives meaning to the temporal life.
What we do for God matters most! How we live for God speaks the loudest! What we give to God multiplies the greatest.
I want to encourage you today, God sees everything you have done and He hears your prayers and is moving on them now. He remembers everything we’ve given to Him, and He takes it and multiplies it. So, don’t give up. Keep going and release your faith to believe that God is using your life, to make a difference for eternity.
How much do you weigh?
The answer for all of us is, 21 grams!
This is because doctors have found, when someone passes away their body weight decreases by 21 grams. I believe this is because when we pass away, our spirit leaves our body and enters into eternity.
Where will you spend eternity?
Receive Jesus as your Savior and give Him everything you got while you have breath in your body. This is how we have purpose and this is how we make an impact long after our lifetime. This is the weight of eternity.
I love you, I believe in you and because of Jesus, the best is yet to come.
Choose to make a difference,
