Why Purity?

Why does God call us to purity?

When it comes to our lives, it’s easy to do our own thing. In fact, it’s easy to make our own rules on what life is, what we can do and what matters most to us. However, this misses the mark because it puts us in the place of God, as we seek to do life without God. But in the end, this ideology has hurt too many people to count because in the end, it proves hollow and hurtful.

So, when it comes to purity, God is calling us to do life His way. He’s calling us to obey Him and to trust that, His plan is for our good in every aspect of our lives. This is because His intent is not evil and It’s to give us hope with an expected end.

So, when it comes purity, it’s about WHO is using our lives. That’s right because did you know, there’s a competition of who will use our lives? This is because, no matter who we are, someone is using us and the impact of this is generational.

For example, notice what Paul said 2 Timothy 2:21-22,

21. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. 22. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

2 Timothy 2:21-22

It’s clear that when we keep ourselves pure, God can use us for good work. This is why we must run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. We must run from the wrong, so we can run with what is right!

When God uses us good things happen! Meaning, the fruit of our lives does good not only to us but to those around us. Love, joy, forgiveness, unity, healing, and purpose are just some of the things that follow us being used by God.

Isn’t this what we all want? Of course.

Which is why purity is so important! This is also why the enemy is constantly tempting us to be impure. Because when we cave into being impure, the enemy can use us for all kinds of things that do damage in us and in others. These are things like; hate, lust, sadness, unforgiveness, dysfunction, unhealthy dynamics and no purpose. No one wants this and yet this is the result of impurity.

Who is using you today?

Because remember, someone is using us, it’s just a matter of who. When it comes to purity, we must resist the temptation of doing life our way and choosing to do life His way. This is where we find the protection and the blessing of God using us for His good work!

Today, I encourage you to choose God. Let His purity be your purity. Let His ways be your ways. Because it’s in this place, that we find everything we not only want, but everything that we need. God has a good future for you and He has plans that are for the completion of our lives, and this includes our purity.

Why purity?

So God can use you!!

Love and believe in you and the best is yet to come!
