Whatever Happens I Will…
Well, in a few days, there will be a winner in this presidential election. This just adds to the chaotic year this has been. Man, so much has happened it feels like years have passed but here we are, late October and our election process will speak again.
Who will win? Will it be decided on election night? Who knows, but whatever happens, the sun will come up the next morning. That should give us peace because God is in control. It’s His power and glory that gives us all we need and see. He is love; therefore, everything He does is motivated by love. I don’t know about you, but I’m thankful for who God is and how He treats us all. However, it’s easy to be nervous about what happens next in our country and around the world. So much is unknown, that we don’t even know how Christmas will be this year. But through all of it, God is the same and He deserves everything from us. So, in all of this instability, I’ve decided I will give Him all of me. This is big because it would be easy to gauge what we do, based on what happens, but there’s a better way. In fact, it’s dangerous to determine what we do based on what happens because that means, we can fluctuate within the moment and be dictated by something that should not control us. God has called us to purpose and promise, no matter what happens or what we face. Paul said in Ephesians 6:10, “A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” I love this short command, be strong in HIS mighty power. Notice, it’s His power that makes us strong. It’s His power that helps us stand. It’s His power that helps us face anything that comes our way. Therefore, I can be strong through everything because, I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who gives me strength (see Philippians 4:13).
That’s why, whatever happens, I will…

What will you choose to do?
It’s my encouragement, that we do not let surrounding circumstances dictate what we do but rather, we choose to stand for God no matter what happens around us. Our position in Jesus is the same, whatever happens, because He is the bedrock of our lives.
We have to be reminded that, an election doesn’t control our lives. The American political system doesn’t dictate what we do. No, God is the Author and Finisher of our faith. It’s through Him that we live, move, and have our being. It’s through Him, that we have life and purpose; therefore, whatever happens, I will…
No matter what, I will…
I’m certain at least one of the things listed above is a challenge for us. I’m sure this year has brought new battles and has resurfaced old ones but through it all, I will…
How about you?
Move forward in your faith. Be a part of this election. Give God your heart, let God use you for His glory. Determine to make a difference.
And whatever happens, I will…
I love you and I believe, the best is yet to come with Jesus.
