I Will Not Quit
One of the greatest things we can say in life is, “I will not quit.”
This simple statement is powerful and its impact is far reaching. However, this is easier said than done, as life has a way of wearing us down. Have you ever been there?
It’s like every step forward, is two steps back and then, the victory or answer you’re believing for, is delayed. This is compounded with the current crisis we’re in because all the tension and the stress, bring so many things to the surface. All of this is why it’s actually easy to quit and to walk away. In fact, thousands of people do this everyday.
They’ve had enough so they leave their family, they walk away from purpose or they let go of hope and don’t care anymore. But when this happens, the dominoes fall far and wide because, whatever we do, always impacts someone else.
Nevertheless, there’s hope in Jesus and no matter what we’ve done or what we feel right now, He’s faithfully with us!
This is why through Christ we must say, “I will not quit.”
There’s too much in the plan of God for you to quit. There’s too much promise for you and your family, so we must keep going and must take it one step at a time.
Jesus said, “we will have trouble” (see John 14:33) but the Bible also says, “He delivers us from every trouble.” (See Psalms 34:17).
It’s so important we remember, there’s nothing we face, that God can’t do something about. He’s all-powerful and all-knowing and nothing is impossible to Him. He’s also our greatest reward! Yes, Jesus is worth it and there’s nothing that compares to Him. This is why we must have our eyes focused on Him, because when He is my focus, everything else is put into its proper place.
Right now, it’s easy to quit or unplug from what’s right. It’s easy to isolate and to shut down. It’s easy to point fingers, take sides, blame others and let lesser things divide us from the greater purpose. Oh yes, right now, it’s easy to quit but we can’t because God has too much for us.
Therefore, this is our time to say, “I will not quit.”
We must give God a chance to do a miracle in our lives. Meaning, we stay grounded, we stay planted and we stay healthy in our faith. He does what He does, miracles! We do our part because, God uses what we give Him for His glory. But when we quit, we’re cutting short the answer God is working out. It’s my belief that too many people quit and miss a moment and a miracle that God has for them.
But not today!
We’re not going to quit. We’re going to look to Jesus as our focus, our hope and our God.
This is what Paul did when he was in prison writing the letter we know as, Philippians. When we have this perspective, we won’t quit because we know what’s ahead!
“I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”
Philippians 3:14
Notice, his eyes were on the prize. He wasn’t distracted but focused on something more; Jesus!
Today, what are you facing? What’s on your heart?
God is reaching for you. He wants to do a miracle for you and He wants to do all the promises Ha has for you; therefore, He needs us to say, “I will not quit.”
So I encourage you, keep going. Take it one day at a time and one step at a time. Go at His pace for you and let Jesus be enough. He’s all we need and He’s all we want.
I ask encourage you, stay planted in church, actively connect in community and willingly be a part of a village. This is the plan of God and it’s a BIG part of us being able to say, “I will not quit.”
I love you and I believe that the best is yet to come!
