Just Jesus
Jesus changed the world!
His entrance into society was not glamorous nor publicized but still profound and supernatural. This was because a teenager named Mary gave birth to the son of God, as she conceived by the Holy Spirit. This momentous event would not only change her life but it changed the lives of millions of people from all backgrounds, nationalities, positions and places in life.
His hands would heal the sick, His words would penetrate the heart and His example would convict generations of how to love God and love each other. Through His love, He saw past social status and position as He leveled the playing field and gave a new metric to measure greatness; servanthood.
Furthermore, with all this influence and opportunity, money couldn’t buy Him, power didn’t sway Him and corruption didn’t touch Him. His focus wasn’t being better than others or being over others, but rather it was on saving others.
And He’s still the same today!
Just Jesus is what we need, nothing more and nothing less. When He shows up, anything can happen.
However, it’s this simplicity that challenges us. To love God and love people is massive because it deals with our hearts and our hearts deal with every aspect of our lives.
“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”
Proverbs 4:23
Notice life has issues but Jesus is the answer to ALL of them!
This is why we need Jesus; therefore, we lay aside the distractions, religiosity and pontificating that takes us away from who He is. We need Him in His true form by reaching for His presence over our preference and by giving Him what He really wants, our hearts.
“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13
Notice, when we search for Him with all of our heart, we will find Him. Just Jesus!
So what will we find in Him?
He is our healing for sickness.
He is our peace for torment and stress.
He is our forgiveness of sins.
He is our deliverer from bondage.
He is our mercy on a daily basis.
He is our miracle worker.
He is our grace for salvation:
He is the door of opportunity.
He is the way out of trouble.
He is the answer to our problems.
He is the counsel in times of confusion.
He is the friend we all need.
He is the truth that sets us free.
He is our second chance.
He is our rock of safety.
He is our tower of protection.
He is our shield of favor.
He is our father.
He is our redeemer.
He is our provider.
He is our strength.
He is our hope.
He is our joy.
He is the head of the church.
He is the center of the church.
He is the reason for the church.
He is coming back for the church.
Oh yes, it’s Just Jesus and when we have Him, there’s always hope.
So I encourage you today, whatever you’re facing all you need is Jesus. No matter what you’re feeling today, all you need is Jesus. No matter what your past screams at you, all you need is Jesus. No matter what your relational status is, all you need is Jesus. No matter your church background and what you were taught to believe, all you need is Jesus. No matter your preference of church or your style of worship, all you need is Jesus.
So please reach for Him today. Give Him your heart and receive what He has for you. No more excuses, No more debating, No more dodging, and No more resisting.
Just Jesus!
Have a great day and the best is yet to come.
