Christmas Hope
Hope is powerful! It’s something we can’t do without and it’s huge to our faith. I think sometimes we underestimate it and look at faith and love as the big things we need; however, without hope, faith and love don’t work. Because of this, we must guard our hope and protect it. In fact, I believe our enemy is seeking to rob our hope with intentionality. His aim is to deflate our faith by robbing our hope. He seeks to do this through circumstances, tragedies, conflict, disappointment and more. From these things, he twists truth into offense that can lead us to a hopeless end.
But Jesus is greater!
We have a Christmas Hope and we should always remember who He is and why we need Him.
Hal Lindsey said this about hope –
“Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air…but only for one second without hope.”
Hal Lindsey
This speaks of our Christmas Hope and why we need Him every second of every day. With Him anything’s possible but without Him, we have nothing. Jesus is the center of our hope and He’s why we triumph in this life and in the life to come. He fulfills both the temporal and eternal parts of our lives! He is our Christmas Hope!
The Bible tells us that three things will remain forever. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says –
“Three things will last forever – faith, hope and love – and the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
We clearly see that the love of God is the essence of who He is, and yet it’s hope that causes His love to work. This is big to remember since we must actively protect it.
When we have hope, we’re driven to move forward in life. This could be with our careers, our fitness, our dreams, our marriage and more. When we have hope, we push through barriers and we keep going. When we have hope, we overcome ourselves and others while reaching for something. Yes, hope is powerful as it fuels an inward passion and empowers an inward determination.
Are you hopeful today?
No matter where you are in life, our Christmas Hope is the answer to all we need! What’s amazing about Him is that, when we call on Him, He answers. Meaning, He’s not picky, arrogant or too busy to reply. He reads our texts, He sees our emails, He’s moved by our prayers and He follows us on Instagram. Yes, He knows us and He’s able to do what we can’t. He’s able to do what we’ve messed up or lost. He’s Emmanuel, God with us; which means, He’s our Christmas Hope!
What do you need this holiday season?
He’s able to do it. He’s willing to do it. He’s wanting to do something for you. Therefore, I encourage you to reach out and believe that your Christmas Hope will come through for you.
I encourage you to keep praying and don’t stop. I encourage you to stay connected in a local church, it’s His will for you. I encourage you to keep on worshipping Jesus, this moves Him. I encourage you to be hopeful, this fuels our expectation. Finally, I encourage you protect your hope, it’s huge for us.
Our Christmas Hope has come and everything has changed! Because of this, I believe things will turn around and get better for you! I believe that the best is yet to come.
Have a great Christmas Season,
PD
