Good Hands

Good hands mean different things to different people. For example, if you need insurance, All State says, “you are in good hands.” If you play football, wide receivers need good hands. If you are a hand model, you need good hands. Even the old church song says, “He has the whole world in His hands.” There is something about this topic that generates marketing campaigns, sports debate and singing in church. It touches religion, fashion, comedy and more, yet I believe the focus is amiss. The question is whose hands do you trust?

This speaks to where our hope is and in what or whom we put our trust. For many, it’s a significant other, a career or even themselves. This is, at best, short-sighted and limited leaving many disappointed and even delusional. The letdown of life can be massive, and people everywhere are trying to navigate those feelings. The very nature of life breeds discontent, frustration and struggle. While it’s important to be able to trust family and friends throughout our lives, there is another level of security we can have, and that is security in Christ. There is a better way.

“Fear not for I am with you, don’t be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you and will hold you up with my righteous hand.”

Isaiah 41:10

These are the good hands we must put our trust in as they help conquer fear, give us strength, and hold us up. Only His hands can do this. Only His hands can heal and restore. Only His hands can direct and lead us into peace. Only His hands lead to new beginnings. Only His hands can protect, and only His hands can reach where no one else can!

This is what we are looking for because it’s human nature to look for a hand to hold onto. The Bible says He will promote us, lead us, hold us, cover us, be on us and reach us with His hands. The same God who holds the world holds us! Are you in good hands?

Take hold of God’s unwavering hand today. Don’t let anybody take the place of His grip. He is reaching for you, conquering your fear, removing your shame, healing your past and lighting up your future. He is the lover of your soul never letting you go and never letting anything take you from His grip. Believe it!

I encourage you to let go of what you are holding onto. Give it to God. Your burdens will be lifted, and your heart will be set free. This is your moment. This is your time!

Have a great week, and the best is yet to come!
