Happy New Year (2015)
Happy New Year!
A new year can give new beginnings to set goals, make resolutions and redo what we want to be different. It’s a time of celebration and joy for many; however, for others it’s a time of depression in what hasn’t worked out as another year has come and gone. The dichotomy of the holidays is real, yet Jesus knows our emotions and has the ability to meet anyone where they are.
Therefore I declare that 2016 will be the best year of your life! How will you embrace new beginnings and set goals? What resolutions will you make as you redo what you want to change? No matter your answer, there are three big things that dictate everything, and when you are healthy, your attitude and perspective will be in a good place. I’m speaking of your faith, family and friends! These three things last forever and what we do with them impact generations for good or bad. How powerful to think that what we do today will echo in the future and will echo in eternity. This is why we must seize the day and make it count.
What will you do in 2016?
“Instead, we will speak the truth in love, GROWING in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of His body, the church.”
Ephesians 4:15
Growing is a part of life and inevitable so it’s best to embrace it with our faith, family and friends.
Our faith is something that must be fed with the investment of our time, talent and treasure. When we feed it, growth takes place and barriers are broken. Life gets better, and our soul receives healing. Our faith is the foundation that builds a strong life supporting all that is valuable and precious. These are the building blocks that enable us to handle success and get through failure. This is the anchor that we need in life!
Our family is a treasure that must be valued to see the depth of its worth. This is the lineage of our life and what we do with it can add blessings that last for generations. Yet we are challenged to love, forgive and trust. Our greatest wounds can come from family, but our greatest legacy can be found in them. This is the bond we need in life!
Our friends are a comforting blanket that can soothe a wound and cover a need. They can refresh our soul and bring joy to our heart. They can fill voids in our life and make us better people. Yet we can shut down and resist this out of fear, but friends are one the greatest adventures of our life! Receive them today!
How can you grow in these areas? Seize the moment to grow in your faith, family and friends!
Happy New Year and have a great start to your next step.
