HUMBLE PIE

Have you ever eaten humble pie? If so, wasn’t it awesome? Truth is, we avoid it and when we need to make something right, we delay it. Our humanity is funny as we negotiate pride as a part of our life thinking that humble pie is embarrassing or weak. If we’re honest, we all have had innocent humble pie moments and some serious ones too. This is the process we are in with ourselves, with others, and with God. We are going to do something or say something that causes us to eat humble pie. I’ve been there many times, thus I’m good at saying sorry. Have you been there too?

No matter who we are humble pie can be a choice or a forced result. We decide!

I believe that humility has great power with God and with others. It’s a secret that can open doors and give peace to enemies. Humility can give wisdom in marriages, businesses, parenting, faith and more. It can also protect us from traps and pitfalls in life. This is an opportunity to be better along with leaving an impact that will go on for generations! It’s our choice. What will you decide?

Humble pie can be the entrance of an honor you’ve never known!

“Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor.”

Proverbs 18:12

Most of us want honor, yet most of us struggle with humility. It goes against our nature and culture, but our way isn’t always His way. Honor is like respect; you earn it with consistency in doing right. It’s not guaranteed, and it’s not automatic. A lot of people are frustrated with this, because pride is ruling their actions, reactions, and attitudes.

When we are prideful toward others, it shows we are also prideful toward God!

Eating humble pie is the doorway of blessings into every aspect of our lives. It’s the chance of a lifetime to walk like Jesus. This is the place of peace, protection and provision. This is how we win long term. This is how we walk with God.

Are you eating humble pie? Is there an area of pride that is ruling your thoughts and actions?

I encourage you to eat humble pie! Be patient and let Him do amazing things in you.

The best is yet to come!
