REMEMBER ME

We all experience how fast a year goes by. In fact, for most of us we don’t think about it until after Christmas as we are forced with the end of one year and the beginning of a New Year.

However, this is a perfect time to remember.

I think if we practice this more often, we would be more content. We think about what we don’t have, while forgetting what we do have. So by taking the time to remember, we choose to focus on what?has happened,?the good things and blessings we share right now.

I’m stirred writing this from the perspective of God saying, “Remember Me!”

Let’s look to ALL He has done and thank Him for it. This leads to peace, fulfillment and contentment. It’s what we want, yet hard to do as we live day to day. So I encourage all of us to remember.

The Bible says in Psalms 124:1,

“If the Lord had not been on our side – let Israel say.”

Psalms 124:1,

This one statement is full of opportunity. It sets us up as He says “Remember Me.”

What if we put ourselves at the end of the verse saying; “If the Lord had not been on our side – let David (or insert your name) say?”

This makes it personal to our lives, to our situations and to our stories.

What would you say today?

The Year 2015 is full of potential and when we remember, it connects our faith to that potential. It sharpens our belief that something good can happen today and tomorrow. It breeds confidence not in ourselves, but in what He is doing right now. In Christ our lives will get better!

The question is will we remember Him?

Before the New Year begins I encourage you to make a list of the blessings He has done. Write it out and then read it out loud followed by thanksgiving with praise. I promise, you will see what He has done and you will remember things you have overlooked from 2014.

Crush discouragement and crush unbelief by taking the time to remember. I have practiced this personally and I have seen what it does. I have been down and discouraged yet by the time I read through my list, I was lifted in my faith. He can and He will; taking the time to remember reminds us of that!

No matter how it looks, no matter what you are facing I believe when you remember, you will be encouraged! If Christ has done one thing for you, then you can believe He will do another. He has great things for you! He has you on His mind!

I declare that 2015 will be the best year of your life and the best is yet to come!

Have a great week and love you all!
