SAFE HOUSE

The need to feel safe is a necessity we all have. In fact it’s easy, at times, to take this for granted as people in every nation face uncertainty.

I believe fear is the number one tactic the enemy uses against us and it plays out with extreme phobias to secretive behaviors. Many of us are at times paralyzed by the emotions of fear; therefore, we are trapped by lying thoughts.

It does us well to resist this emotion and to overcome its plot against us.

Jesus is our protection, the defender of our lives. He is the greatest person we could ever know and He is the greatest fulfillment we could ever have. He provides a “safe house” that cannot be breached or defeated. This house is both temporal and eternal touching our present along with our future.

Embracing His “safe house” empowers our victory and triumph over fear; moreover, providing the safety we need!

“For the Lord detests a perverse man but takes the upright into His Confidence.”

Proverbs 3:32

Notice, He brings us into His Confidence (safe house) to overcome fear.

This also speaks to where our confidence comes from. Christ is our confidence and where we get our strength and courage.

Some may say, “I’m not brave or talented” or “I’m messed up and fearful.” While these things may be true in certain aspects, His Truth is a greater reality! It frees us when we remember it’s about who He is and what He can do instead of our messed up stuff!

Into His “safe house” I go daily by accepting His Love and plan for me. I choose to rely on Him and His great work in me to be the platform upon which I stand and have trust. He is my source, and He is my Confidence.

I encourage you this week to willingly go into His safe house. Let Him take you into His Confidence and watch fear leave you, “for He has delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalms 34:4)

May the Lord bless and touch you as you enter His safe house.

The best is yet to come!
