Where Streets Have No Name (2014)
In the Omniscience of God, He knows everyone and every detail concerning them.
He is abundant in goodness and He touches the just and unjust daily. All nations and all peoples have His attention as His heart beats to be with them! The act of the Cross is the open invitation to be connected in Christ. This invite is for ALL people!
His reach of love extends to where streets have no name. It touches the nameless and unknown, the poor, the rich and those forgotten by society. When I think of where streets have no name, I think of isolated areas, undeveloped areas and places that lack opportunity: the places that we don’t like seeing or thinking about as they demand a response. This is where Jesus is!!
When we are right with God we will be right with people!
Our opportunity is to go where the streets have no name. To reach for the people He is reaching for, to be the light they see and feel. These streets don’t have to be overseas; many times they are within our reach! These streets are traveled by the people in our lives daily: family, friends, co-workers and strangers! They are found in ghettos, rural areas and in our neighborhoods. This is the heart of God! This is our ubiquitous calling.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9
Notice the passion of Jesus!
Many times we ask what our purpose is or what is our calling, yet if we start where the streets have no name, we will discover destiny!
What steps can you take today? Who is in your life that the Love of God is reaching for? Will you reach with Him? Will you go where Jesus is?
This is our opportunity! This is our moment in history to bring eternal impact! Be determined to go where the streets have no name!
“The life that gives to others, will be the life that lives for generations.”
Something great is happening!
