Believe

What happens when we believe?

This question seems basic yet it reaches to a deeper place of our innocence and hope that God will come through.

To believe has many definitions as we try to quantify our connection to Him. However, this area of our lives is punctured as we replace innocence and hope with reluctance to believe so that we are protected from disappointment. While all of us connect with this reality, there is a higher truth in which we can build from.

Innocence with hope is not based in fantasy or fairytales but rather in Christ as the rock and answer to our every need. In fact, with Him “nothing is impossible” (Luke 1:37). The all knowing, all powerful God is willing to do what can’t be explained and all it takes is the step to believe!

“Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent.”

John 6:29

Notice the emphasis for us to believe in Christ.

So, what happens when we believe?

Opening our heart to believe allows us to receive what He has for us. We cannot receive if we do not believe. It is the doorway of expectation we must go through individually. He has given us over seven thousand promises in the Bible that we can receive! Believe and we shall receive.

Think about this; what we believe in is what we receive. What are we receiving today? Is it good things, hope, victory or is it negativity, dread, fear and doubt? Looking around our lives will tell the story of what we believe in. I encourage you to arise in belief so that we receive all His Goodness.

Opening our heart to believe allows us to see what He has for us. This is huge as we all want to see something. We desire the proof of our belief and He is willing to show us. How blessed we are to see His answers and to see His promises revealed in us. Our faith can become sight right now in this life through His grace, mercy and more.

You may be reading this thinking ‘this sounds good but I have not received or seen anything yet’. I understand that place, yet keep going, don’t stop, pursue until you receive and see what He has for you. To focus on His timing is a mistake. It’s about focusing on Him no matter what and knowing when we believe in Him, receiving and seeing will be ours.

May the Lord give you the courage and strength to believe today!

Have a great week and the best is yet to come!

Something great is happening!
