Humility and Wisdom
Did you know that humility is connected to Wisdom?
Our perceptions are a gambit of extremes when it comes to wisdom. We tend to underestimate it or we may feel it’s out of our reach, yet we need it daily in our lives!
Humility aligns us to receive the Wisdom that comes from Christ; therefore, empowering us with contentment.
However knowing this truth is just the beginning because receiving humility and walking in humility are a constant challenge we face. We are all tempted to be prideful, envious along with having selfish ambition as this comes with our human nature.
“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in humility that comes from wisdom.”
James 3:13
Notice humility is the sign that we are wise and it’s the posture in which we should carry our lives.
I have personally had a wonderful example of this in my parents. For thirty years they determined to be humble, love all people and endure no matter what. They have led our City Church family to oasis’ of faith with legacy as they passed the mandate to Pastor Sumer and I.
In their humility the wisdom of God has come through them with leading me personally thus making me the man I am today. Their example has echoed in my heart hundreds of times and it’s powerful that this wisdom can be passed down to you and I.
I encourage you today to embrace humility in all areas of your life, so that His Wisdom may rest on you. I encourage you to lay down pride, envy and selfish-ambition while latching onto His Love, Grace and Life as the boundaries to live by!
What areas of your life could you be more humble? I believe taking this step will empower our faith, family and friends to be healthy with strength.
We all can be wise as we choose to be humble.
Have a great week and look forward to seeing you this weekend!
Something great is happening!
